Marisa Washington came into real estate in 2020 for a practical reason and stayed for a much larger one. What quickly began as a way to earn additional income became a passion for closing the racial homeownership gap by building generational wealth one family at a time.

She serves buyers and sellers across the Twin Cities metro, and the buyer side is where some of her most personal work happens. A lot of people arrive convinced that owning is years off, or not meant for them at all, and more often than not it is closer than they believed. Marisa educates her clients by laying the whole picture out. What they qualify for, which programs they have never heard of, what the real path looks like from exactly where they are standing. The decision gets made on facts instead of assumptions, and the answer is yes far more often than people expect. She has taken buyers through foreclosures and bank owned purchases as well, which run on their own rules and their own timelines, and which open doors a lot of buyers write off far too early.

She is every bit as strong on the listing side. A price is not a guess to her, it is a case she builds out of the data and then defends at the table, so her sellers go to closing knowing every dollar was argued for. She has listed and sold for families who were ready for whatever came next, and she treats the house like what it usually is, the largest thing they own.

She has never bought a lead. Every client she has worked with came through someone who knows her and trusts her enough to place their own friends and family in her care, and that is not a kind of trust you can buy or market your way into. Some of those clients had worked with her before and many had not, but each one arrived because somebody was willing to put their own name behind hers.

She is on the investing side of the business now too. She bought her first investment property with a partner and plans to keep going. When an investor asks what a property will actually carry, the answer comes from her own experience and not from a script. It is the same conviction from another direction.
